You want help,
but you want the right help.
We offer approachable, honest, and dialed-in therapy for busy and driven people finding their way back to happiness.
You're not a number, you’re a human.
But we have a hunch that you’re here because you might not have felt that way in your previous experiences with therapy or coaching. Every person who walks through our doors brings their unique story, background, and challenges, and we’re honored to play even a small part in their healing journey. No matter where you choose to begin your journey, the important thing is that you’re seeking care. And if we get to be part of that process, it's truly an honor.
Even if you’ve never been to therapy before, maybe you’ve:
-
felt unheard, invalidated, or judged.
-
not felt safe to express yourself, because you didn’t have an authentic connection.
-
attended session after session, without seeing much of a change.
We're on a mission to change that, because it doesn’t have to be that way.
Through our unique blend of high-level training, empathy through experience, and a down-to-earth, no-B.S. approach, we’re able to meet you where you are and show you what’s possible.
JESSICA M. - ATXMH CLIENT
No matter what issue I'm struggling with, I've felt consistently welcomed and at home at ATX Mental Health. I cannot recommend this practice enough!
Our team of talented, highly-qualified therapists meets you where you are to create a customized plan of action to get you to the other side, where you want to be.
And although our clients often stay with us for a long time, we’re passionate about arming you with the tools you need and showing you how to use them independently, to heal, grow, and succeed.
What matters to us is what matters to you.
At ATX Mental Health, we strongly believe that you are your own agent of change; once you commit to doing the work and showing up for yourself, we provide our expert insights and powerful, evidence-based tools to help guide you through your journey.
Here are some of the methodologies (tools) we use to help you achieve your goals:

Our Philosophy and Approach to Mental Health
At ATX Mental Health, we believe the journey toward healing starts with understanding—and that means more than just a clinical approach. Our goal has always been to create a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Mental health can often feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, PTSD, or trauma, we’re here to walk this path with you.
Compassionate Care for Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma
Navigating the difficulties of anxiety, depression, or trauma is no small feat—but compassionate, expert care can make all the difference. At ATX Mental Health, we specialize in helping individuals work through these challenges and others with tailored approaches that meet you where you're at.
For anxiety, we focus on strategies to address the underlying thought patterns while offering practical tools you can use day-to-day. When it comes to depression, our team creates a space where we can uncover the deeper roots of those feelings while fostering hope and resilience. And if trauma or PTSD is part of your story, we use proven therapeutic methods to help rewrite those painful narratives in a healthier light.
These issues are tough, but they don’t define who you are. Therapy provides a way forward, and our team is here to support you with open ears and open hearts. Get more insights into these types of care by exploring our Additional Services.
Using Proven Tools like EMDR and the Enneagram
We aren’t just focused on the “what” of therapy but also the “how.” That’s why we incorporate advanced, evidence-based practices like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma and the Enneagram for personal growth.
EMDR is a transformative tool particularly effective for PTSD and trauma. It helps people process distressing memories in a supportive, systematic way, enabling them to heal in ways they might never have thought possible. Meanwhile, the Enneagram offers a unique lens to better understand ourselves—our motivations, emotions, and even the patterns we might not notice in daily life.
These tools, among others, are thoughtfully integrated into our practice because they work. We’ve seen them help so many people reconnect with themselves and regain control over their lives. If you’d like to learn more about our methods and how they can support your journey, check out our What to Expect page.
Every step of the way, our focus is on empowering you—with understanding, with proven strategies, and with a safe place to grow. Therapy isn’t just about feeling better; it’s about reclaiming your life, one breakthrough at a time. And we’re honored to be part of that journey with you.
Therapy shouldn't feel robotic or transactional; it should feel like a genuine connection. That's why our practice is built around a simple, yet profound philosophy: humans treating humans. Think of it this way—when you come in for therapy, you're not a "client file" or "case number." You’re someone we care about, and we carry that mindset into every interaction.
This people-first approach means we take the time to tailor therapy to each individual's needs. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution for mental health concerns. Instead, our team works collaboratively with you to identify what truly helps. It’s all about finding the kind of care that resonates with you. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, take a step forward and Get Started.

“Empathy has no script. There is no right way or wrong way to do it. It is simply listening, holding space, withholding judgment, emotionally connecting, and communicating that incredibly healing message of ‘you’re not alone’.”
