What to expect when you work with our team
Your First Session
Come as you are to your first, pressure-free session. Here’s what to know before you arrive.
-
1 | Session Location
In person: 2851 Joe DiMaggio Blvd, Suite 12, Round Rock TX 78665. We’re in Building 6, straight ahead from the main entrance. Your therapist will send the door code before your appointment. Help yourself to water, coffee, or tea in the lobby — they’ll come to get you.
Virtually: You’ll receive a unique session link by email or text. A strong WiFi connection works better than mobile data — sessions from vehicles often have connectivity issues with our secure portal.
-
2 | Required Forms
We'll send intake forms to your new client portal before your first session. They cover your background, what brings you in, and a few brief assessments that give your therapist a clear picture of where you're starting from. Plan for about 20–30 minutes to complete them. The more honest you are, the faster we can get to the work that matters.
-
3 | Your Goals
Your first session is about getting to know each other. We'll ask what brought you in, what you've tried before, and what you're hoping for. You don't need a polished answer — or any agenda at all. Some people arrive with a list; others just know something needs to change. Both are a fine place to start. If it feels like a good fit, we'll end the session by scheduling your next appointment.
-
4 | Good To Know
Give yourself a few extra minutes before your session to get settled.
If you’re feeling sick, please reschedule or switch to video — we appreciate it, and so will the clients sharing our space.
Sensory needs or accessibility requests? Our office is a quiet, low-stimulation space. If you have any sensory preferences or need accommodations before your first session — lighting, sound, seating, or anything else — just mention it when you reach out and we’ll make sure you’re set up to be comfortable.
Once you’ve had your first session, here’s how we build from there—
Planning your treatment
A plan for your success and wellbeing, co-created together.
Prior to your first session, you will complete intake forms in your secure client portal. Initial forms include assessments that give your therapist a clear picture of where you’re starting from — so that every session builds on the last.
We will set aligned goals and do regular check-ins to make sure we’re achieving the results you hoped for. We also have flexibility to change those goals along the way as you discover new insights and begin to engage your life in new ways.
Your Payment Options
We provide flexible options for you to get the most out of your sessions.
Out of pocket investment:
Session rates range from $100–225 depending on your clinician.
Private pay also gives your therapist full flexibility to structure sessions around what you actually need — session length, frequency, and focus aren't constrained by what a benefits plan will cover. Good therapy tends to change how you move through everything — your relationships, your work, how you handle hard moments. The sessions are an hour a week, but the results aren't.
Insurance:
Each therapist sets their own rates and insurance taken. Check out the therapist bios for more details.
We are in network with BCBS, United/Optum, and Aetna. We are no longer in network with Baylor Scott & White or Cigna.
A note on privacy: When you use insurance, your carrier may request access to your records or treatment plan. We do everything we can to protect your privacy, but if total confidentiality matters to you — for any reason — paying privately means your records stay between you and your therapist.
Out of Network benefits:
A Superbill is an itemized receipt we provide after each session. You submit it to your insurance company directly, and they reimburse you based on your out-of-network benefits. Coverage varies by plan — call the member services number on your insurance card and ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits before your first session.
Payment Methods
Session fees are due at the time of service. We accept credit, debit, HSA, and FSA cards — all stored securely in your client portal. A card on file is required before scheduling and must remain active throughout your time with us.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to a written cost estimate before your first appointment. Here's what that means practically:
You can request a Good Faith Estimate at any time — before you schedule or at least one business day before your appointment
Your estimate will cover the total expected cost of your therapy services
If your final bill is $400 or more above your estimate, you have the right to dispute it
Keep a copy of your estimate for your records
