Frequently Asked Questions

Each therapist sets their own rates and insurances taken. Out of pocket cost is between $100-$225 depending on the therapist and service. Each therapist has occasional openings for lower rate sessions, so if that would help you afford care, please ask if that is an option. If you are using insurance, your session cost will depend on your policy coverage. Most therapists are In Network with BCBS, United, and Aetna. We can provide paperwork needed to use your Out of Network benefits too!

We try to accommodate every specific request but sometimes that therapist is unable to schedule new clients. In that circumstance, we will suggest a therapist that is able to see you or we will give you resources to reach out to another therapist in the community. We don’t want to send you away without support!
-
Yes! Virtual appointments are offered at the discretion and availability of each therapist through a HIPAA-compliant tele-health portal.

No problem - we are always working on new ways to support people where they are, to find relief. Get on our email list for ongoing updates about our services and check out our Additional Services Page.

All of our clinicians have Texas licenses and can only provide therapy within Texas. However, some of our providers are able to provide coaching support to clients who are not in crisis and are able to pay out of pocket for support. Please inquire about coaching by clicking here.

The Enneagram is a tool to understand personalities and emotions better and we absolutely love integrating it into our services for maximum results. It helps you observe yourself more clearly and appreciate how other people may see situations differently than you do, particularly when under stress. It is represented by a 9-pointed diagram showing how each personality type is connected. The word Enneagram comes from the greek words 'ennea' (nine) and 'gramma' (something that's drawn or written). It has ancient roots, connected to many cultures and spiritual traditions.

While every person and history is unique, there are some things that we are humans share that help improve our mental health. In addition to regular therapy, we suggest starting with finding ways to move your body daily as is doable for your schedule and lifestyle. Research shows that exercise can actually be more effective than medication for managing many mental health conditions (you don’t not need to feel in the right mood to move your body - just go for it!).
We also suggest clarifying your personal goals for therapy and taking an active role in session conversations. Finally, practicing regular meditation and prioritizing sleep quality are also research-backed habits that produce significant improvements in functioning (we hear about those a lot because they really do matter!).
-
Just you and yourself. While some clients bring a comfort item, it isn’t required or necessary for a successful session.
